About the Assignment
The primary objective of this position is to support the Operations Support Team with effective contract management, cost control, reporting and assurance.
This position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, driving cost efficiency and operational excellence across the asset or business unit.
Tasks include:
Contracts and Operations Support
- Support the implementation, execution, and management of contracts.
- Ensure contract compliance with scope, deliverables, and KPI
- Support tenders, workshops, stakeholder engagement, scope of work development, technical evaluation, and safety assessments.
- Establish performance and cost control frameworks.
- Support contract variations and changes to scope and contractors.
- Assist the Claims and Invoice processing team, embedding best practice to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
- Develop and implement cost control measures, improving visibility of spend and reducing financial leakage.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure alignment of contract costs with budgets and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements in SAP to strengthen cost tracking.
- Build and maintain dashboards in SAP and Power BI to track contract spend, cost control, and contractor performance.
- Support management with data analysis and visualization for decision-making purposes
- Proactively identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Enhance financial transparency through improved invoice accuracy, reporting processes, and contract governance.
- Support and coordinate Assurance activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS), Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.
This assignment is initially offered for 6 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod. This position operates full-time from Santos’ Brisbane CBD offices.
About You
- Degree qualified in Data Analytics or Supply Chain
- Experience in Contract Management, Accounting or Cost Control
- Ability to deliver process improvements through process mapping, LEAN methods and detailed analytics
- SAP, Power BI and advanced analytics
- Project Management and Change Management
